Today we meet without our dear Fr Chauncy. He is ill in hospital again. Mindful of words spoken by the Blessed Mother about Fr Chauncy on another occasion, I speak about the situation Fr Chauncy is undergoing. After that we share about the message the Blessed Mother gave us last month. Because of our sharing, I make a mental note to ask the Blessed Mother, should she deign us again with her presence, to assist us to overcome the aggressive expressions of our expectations from each other and to help us to recognise that bitterness for our own sufferings should not be unburdened on those around us. I ask also that all those present may find peace in the knowledge of her presence with us and to be satisfied to attend prayers in our own parish churches, in support of the local priests.
Suddenly, she is with us. The great eye bathing her in loving light. I have a great longing to embrace and kiss her feet. She smiles and speaks:
Yes, seek the peace for your souls in my presence and refuge in the house of the Lord. A person is not a butterfly which finds sustenance from flower to flower, leaving nothing of itself, but seeking to take from others, constantly. Seek peace in yourselves first. This I come to give you in this place. I have told you of the many graces which the Father, the Almighty, has endowed on you with unconditional love. Gather those graces to yourselves by recognising your limitations and your strengths and accept the workload the Lord has been pleased to present you with. Know that as you are, the Lord has made you, and that he knows each secret part of yourselves. Therefore turn to Him at all times. I am here to help you. Do not harbour harmful criticism of your brothers and sisters in your heart and remember that it is not for you to judge the worth of your brothers and sisters. Accept your state and set about to better your chances for salvation by placing yourselves in the most humble condition.
Remember always that the ultimate achievement for any person is to seek at all times to be in the presence of the Lord. Jesus, my son has given you the greatest of all gifts, which is to be able to be in the presence of the Lord and more, to receive the Lord in the Most Holy and Most Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist. How can you ask for more? Learn to love the Blessed Eucharist as Fr Chauncy loves to celebrate it. Concentrate all your efforts in receiving the Lord as often as you can. And prepare for this great occasion by cleansing your mind of all distractions. Express at all times, in all situations your deep sorrow for any offences committed against yourselves and against your brothers. Seek at all times to obtain balance between your state of physical life and your state of spiritual life. Do not be drawn by too many distractions. You need no more than prayer and meditation and the will, your will to accept Jesus in your lives for the glory of God, the Father, the Almighty.
Never lose sight of the love that Jesus lavishes on each of you, unconditionally. Be aware that there are too many distractions in your society and many of these are there to conceal from the eyes of your souls the one constant truth: Jesus, the Lord is with you and you can feast at the table where the Blessed and Most Holy Eucharist awaits you. Cleanse your soul of unnecessary distractions and short lived excitement. Learn to appreciate all the opportunities which the unconditional love of the Father presents you with constantly. I am here to help you. Accept the peace which I bring you by the command of God, the Father, the Almighty.
