Miracles
Over the years, God granted a number of miracles through the intercession of the Blessed Mother. There were those associated with the work in Thailand in general, those specific events such as the bombing of Ampil and then the series of providential acts of God that allowed Adelia and Norman to raise millions of dollars over many years to sustain the work.
Miracles of healing were also happening in Australia and they continue to happen to this day. Several answers to prayers were received by visitors to Chittering who have appealed to the Blessed Mother, in the belief that the Lord Jesus never refuses her pleas.
One Heart is in the process of gathering information about the various miracles that have occurred over the years in order that the information can be submitted to the Vatican.

The miracle of the bombing of Ampil in Cambodia
In the dry season of 1984/85, the Blessed Mother said to Adelia that a sign would be given in Ampil to demonstrate the love of God for humanity suffering unjust and cruel distress. Ampil was an area in Cambodia, at the edge of the border with Thailand. Every inch of it was heavily mined. It comprised of 13 villages with about 45,000 residents.
As part of her message, the Blessed Mother requested that Fr. Saveng dedicate this area to God and her protection. After some unexpected delays and impediments Fr. Saveng, in a special ceremony, blessed the area using some soil which Adelia had brought from Tre Fontane in Rome, which is the area said to be where St. Paul was decapitated.
That very night, the Vietnamese shelled a large area, including Ampil, and all 13 villages in Ampil were razed to the ground. The Thai army estimated that in that one day, the Vietnamese used no less than 60 million dollars worth of ammunition.
The miracle was that the 45,000 residents from the 13 villages escaped on foot over the border into Thailand without the loss of even one life and without any injuries. The residents had walked through the mines of the Ampil district which had been consecrated to the protection of the Blessed Mother.

The miracles of the Blessed Sacrament
After moving to a rural home in the Perth hills, Adelia was faced with a dilemma. Their home was quite far from the local Catholic Church, and her spiritual director had been transferred to a distant country parish and therefore was not able to celebrate Mass regularly at their home.
On one occasion when celebrating Mass in their home, when it came to receiving communion, her spiritual director called to her “Take it. Take it!” When she opened her eyes, she saw him stand before her offering her communion, which she thought was strange as she was under the impression she had already received it. He then said, “Open your mouth.” She responded, “I have it.” As she opened her mouth, Norman's uncle Paul, who was sitting opposite her, saw the Host standing upright on the end of her tongue.
On another occasion, in order to sustain Adelia between Sunday Masses, her spiritual director left a number of consecrated hosts to provide for her daily communion (this was approved by the Archbishop). Subsequently, as she received daily Hosts over the following years, the Host was miraculously replaced. This continued until she consumed the last of these on 24 May 2013.

Adelia’s miraculous healings
From the Cambodian jungles to her own home in the hills of Perth Adelia was bitten on three occasions by snakes. In Cambodia she was bitten by a king cobra and a pit viper, while at home in Perth she was bitten by a dugite. After each bite she miraculously recovered without the receipt of any anti-venom.
One of the most frightening ailments Adelia had was gnathostomiasis, which were worms that live and travel around the body. At the time that she was infected, there was no cure, nor was there much research for a cure since the disease was infecting almost exclusively people living in primitive conditions.
She had a constant feeling of uncleanness and it felt like something was eating away at her body. She could visibly see the lumps in her flesh as the worms traveled from one part of her body to the next. The worms progressed throughout her body over a period of about 18 months.
One day, in her desperation she called on the Blessed Mother and asked her to please pray that she may be healed. Without medical explanation, the worms suddenly all disappeared from her body.
