Maintenance of the Chittering Shrine and Chapel

After more than seventeen years of receiving visitations of the Blessed Mother at Chittering, Western Australia, the shrine required some love and care. In preparation for Adelia's 3rd death anniversary a number of One Heart volunteers, led by the President Mario Valente, embarked on a project of beautifying the chapel. Photos of the refurbished chapel reveal the transformation. As God is the fulness of truth, goodness and beauty, One Heart desires not only to draw souls to Christ through the truth and by carrying out God's work, but also by providing a beautiful place for visitors to lift their souls heavenward. Shrine of the Blessed Virgin, Mother of the Revelation, including the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Once the messages of the Blessed Mother to Adelia Bernard is accepted by the Church, One Heart will embark on the next stages of Chittering development.

Stage 1 will be the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin, Mother of the Revelation, located on the Western Side of the Brockman River. Stage  2 will be the construction of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Nature of the Shrine

The Shrine of the Blessed Virgin, Mother of the Revelation will be a shrine built in remembrance of a particular mission in the history of our Church; a mission directed by God and carried out by Adelia under the guidance of the Blessed Mother.The Shrine is a place that will offer all of the Church’s Sacraments, while also encouraging special devotion. In Chittering, praise is given to God and veneration to Mary. Chittering is a place to meet with and share in the joy of the Communion of Saints, the Church in Heaven, the Church in Purgatory and the Church on Earth.

Purpose of the Shrine

The purpose of the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin, Mother of the Revelation can be summarised as follows:
  • to give honour, glory and praise to God, for whom alone it is due
  • to offer to all of humanity the opportunity to share and revel in the Truth, Beauty and Justice of God
  • to offer the Sacraments of the Church in blessed surrounds
  • to promote the truth of our Catholic faith and in particular to remind the Catholic faithful that there is only one Saviour Jesus Christ and that we, along with all other Christians and non-Christians alike, are united in the One (Sacred) Heart of Jesus
  • to encourage correct veneration to the Blessed Mother
  • to serve as a place of remembrance of the grace poured out by God along the borders  of Thailand over more than a decade, in Australia and around the world
  • to provide a place for: sanctuary for relief and/or healing for all of those in need, whether it be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual; pilgrimage and quiet contemplation for those seeking God or the answers to their lives or their prayers; hospitality and retreat for peoples from all walks of life and faiths; understanding of the mystery of Mary and her continuing role in salvation history; ecumenical prayers, dialogue and encounters; spiritual direction and the discernment of vocations
  • to provide an opportunity for the lay faithful and all other visitors to be associated with the OneHeart Association charitable works.
