Pope John XXIII International Peace Prize

On 3 June 1986 COERR received the Pope John XXIII International Peace Prize which included a cheque of US$150,000.

Since 1970, it had only been given out on three other occasions, the first being to Sister Teresa of Calcutta. The award was recognition for all of those in COERR who had dedicated so many years of their lives in the service of the refugees.

While this award was not specifically for Adelia, her contributions to this award were recognised by COERR.
